As other plot lines develop, pirates attack the Aurorawhich crash-lands on an island that closely resembles a olpel in the old man’s journal.

The descriptions of the island and creatures were very unique. He’s only a cabin boy, but knows everything about the ship and has dreams of flying his own one day.

The pirate crew are a mixture of elegant and rough unsavory characters that feel particularly true-to-life from what I’ve read on the subject.

In the first pages, you have a hot air balloon rescue, mysterious words from a dying man, a daring in-air landing, a strange journal, a pirate attack, a crash landing and the discovery of a mysterious skeleton.

I want me an airship!! The ship felt real and lived in. Why in the world did you call the oceans Atlanticus and Pacificus? I found out about Airborn while surfing around looking for contemporaries of Harry Potter to see if any books had sold anywhere near the same number.


Let’s just say, the only reason I’m keeping this book is because oopel the front cover – I’m going to use it as decor on my bookshelf. And, boy, do they ever. I loved Matt and Kate and kenjeth very cute friendship. But, there are obvious deaths, some of which might be unnerving for young, sensitive readers.

I listened to the audio version Airorn Cast Audios and was extremely impressed! As long as they don’t slay Vlad, Kate or Matt i’m fine. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers.

eknneth I thought it was a bit lacking in character development and plot but I liked it and I’ll probably try the rest of the books in the series. If you’re tired of beautiful supernatural new kids falling in airborm with the mortal they can’t be with It’s a marvelous thing.

At yet I had never listened to a single book. So maybe you just didn’t spend enough time in your research and editing stages, because my inner Grammar Nazi found three typos in your novel. All of the food is this book made some hungry and I honestly want to hire Vlad so badly it’s not even funny. Before attempting to dislodge Matt again, Szpirglas is attacked by a group of cloud cats and opel thrown into the sea.

Matt Kennetth is a cabin boy on board the majestic airship Aurora. It is this purpose which brings Matt Cruse directly into her sights. But, for me, this is definitely one of my all-time favorites.

When writing a book that takes place on an island, you might want to research such things, since pineapples actually grow on the ground. It’s hard to compare them. They oenneth cloud cats, are ransacked by pirates and end up shipwrecked airbirn the middle of nowhere. The dialogue is incredibly gripping and the descriptions of this alternate world are amazingly evocative.

As the sailmakers scramble to repair the falling AuroraMatt spots an island and the crew steers toward it. Szpirglas’ crew murders Bruce in the engine room and chases Matt onto the hull of the Aurora in open air. Does this end in the main characters dying in an exploding airship? Writing was good and it had some nice imagery. Paperback – pages – The two of them stumble upon the pirates, who had set up a secret base on the secluded island.

It is the life Matt’s always wanted; convinced he’s lighter than air, he imagines himself as buoyant as the hydrium gas that powers his ship.
